hi Marc!

I m tring to invoke an AIR app from browser. Before i wrote my own code for airSWF and then tried to lauch my AIR app but not succeeded. It simpley showed wait mouse pointer for 2 3 seconds and then did nothing. then fortunatily i read ur blog and used ur technique with ur given class but still getting nothing. Still there is same behavioure.

It checks app in a right way. If that is not installed then install that from my given URL but when i try to invoke that after installation it does nothing.

Can u plz help me what could b issue.
(i have configured my AIR app for browser invoking true)

Waiting for ur quick response plz.

Hi

Great article !

Is there a way to pass parameters to a running Air app or to invoke/start an installed but not running Air app with a parameter ?

For instance, I have the app running, and you have the app installed, and I want to send you via MSN or an email a list of my favourite videos stored on a central server that both apps are connected to via webservices with a short clickable link. As in a URI like way myapplication:openvideo:videolist234567 ?

Thanks !

Hi Marc,

I'm dealing with a similar situation and noticed that you commented on using a LocalConnection to communicate between AIR and SWF.

I'm finding the documentation to be vague and also wondering how a swf that launches the AIR app will know when it's available for communication. Do you know of any way to check if the AIR app is launched and available?

Thanks,
Paul
