I went to buy a book today at Bookpool and came up with this:
Bookpool is (was?) a great little site that specialized in technical books. They had a good selection, and amazingly fast shipping. They also employed me a few years back. They had been around a really long time, it's a shame if they're gone, hopefully it's just a technical problem.

Link / ReplyI think that they have gone belly up unfortunately. A couple weeks ago I was searching on some basic stuff and noticed that pretty much every title was "out of stock". I sent them an email and asked of they were going out of business but never heard back.

Lately, I have been needing older technical books and Amazon.com had a good used book at used prices selection. That may have caused Bookpool some problems. Or maybe the competition from Amazon.com was too much

He said that they are shifting places and this process might take two to three weeks. Apparently it took more but I say wait for it .. they are the best !!

Link / ReplyI too was a long time customer. I started ordering books from them about 8 years ago and they always had th ebest selction and price. The last time I ordered from them was a few months ago. I was going to order a book tonight but found some generic page instead. Someone may buy the name and start another book business but it probably is not going to be the same bookpool that we all know and love.
